Peec AI vs Profound is the comparison most teams make when they buy their first AI visibility tool, because they are the two names that come up first. They are built for different buyers. Peec AI is a self-serve tracker with published prices from €85 a month. Profound is an enterprise platform sold through sales, with more engines and more modules around the tracking.
This comparison uses the public information on both vendors’ sites on 29 September 2026. We build a third tool, Mencoro, which we mention at the end; the comparison itself is between the two.

Pricing
This is the clearest difference. Peec AI publishes three self-serve plans with fixed prompt allowances, and each includes three models of your choice; a fourth model, such as Perplexity, is an add-on priced by plan. Profound shows a free trial with 50 prompts on three engines for seven days and an Enterprise plan priced by quote. G2 reviewers of Profound cite the price as the main drawback for companies that are not large.
Engines and coverage
Profound’s Enterprise plan covers up to nine engines, including Claude, DeepSeek and Exa, with custom languages and regions. Peec AI keeps self-serve plans to three models plus add-ons, with one country on Starter and three on Pro, and opens up to 13 models on Enterprise. If you need many engines in many countries, you are in enterprise territory with either vendor.
Features beyond tracking
Both go beyond counting mentions. Peec AI is strongest on sources: domain and URL citations, fan-out queries, gap analysis, and prompt discovery with a volume score. Profound is strongest on what surrounds the tracking: a proprietary prompt volume dataset, agent analytics that show AI crawler traffic from your CDN or logs, and credit-based agents that turn findings into content.
Verdict
- Choose Peec AI if you are a marketing team or agency that wants daily tracking, good source data and a price you know in advance.
- Choose Profound if you are an enterprise brand that needs many engines and markets, security reviews, and modules for content and crawler analytics, and you have the budget for a sales-led contract.
A third option
If neither fits, Mencoro sits below both on price and takes a different angle. It tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and AI Mode, all included, plus the Google SERP and Shopping in the same project, and it classifies every mention into five types with a sentiment score, so share of voice is weighted by how you are mentioned. Pricing is per check from €15 a month, with unlimited projects, competitors and users, and the API and MCP server on every plan. It does not track Gemini, Claude or Copilot.
