An LLM rank tracker tells you whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI features name your brand for the prompts your buyers use, how prominently, and next to whom. It is the rank tracker of AI search, with one difference that changes everything: there is no list to read a position from, and the same prompt gives a slightly different answer each time.
That difference is why these tools price and report so differently. This comparison looks at the trackers worth a look, how each one counts what you pay for, and what they cost on their own pricing pages on 29 September 2026. We build one of them, Mencoro, and describe the others as fairly as we can.
How LLM rank tracking works
A good LLM rank tracker does four things that a one-off check cannot:
- Repeats each prompt on a cadence, daily or weekly, so a mention rate across runs replaces a single screenshot.
- Separates engines and countries, because ChatGPT in the United States and AI Overviews in the United Kingdom are different answers.
- Reads the answer, not just the name: order, mention type, sentiment and the URLs the answer cites.
- Tracks competitors on the same prompts, which turns a mention rate into share of voice.
If a tool reports a single “ranking” without saying how many runs it is based on, treat it as noise. Our ChatGPT rank trackers guide goes deeper on the method for that one engine.

List prices before tax, in the currency each vendor shows. Credit systems make the real cost depend on the engines you pick: on Rankscale and Keyword.com, a Claude run costs several times a ChatGPT run.
Mencoro
Mencoro tracks AI answers and Google in the same project: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and AI Mode, plus the top 10 organic results and Google Shopping. Each AI check can run up to three passes to smooth out answers that vary, and each mention gets a mention type and a sentiment score, so share of voice is weighted by how you were mentioned. You pay per check, from €15 a month, with unlimited projects, competitors and users. See the rank tracking and ChatGPT rank tracker pages, or how every metric is calculated .
LLMrefs
LLMrefs asks for keywords rather than prompts and generates the fan-out prompts itself, which suits SEO teams who think in keywords. One plan at $79 a month covers 500 prompts on 11 engines, including Claude, Grok, Meta AI and DeepSeek, with weekly reports, unlimited projects and seats, CSV export and an API. It has no classic Google rank tracking.
Rankscale
Rankscale covers the most engines on this list, more than 17, on every plan, and charges in credits whose cost varies by engine. Pro is $99 a month for 1,200 credits, with page audits, shopping analysis and an MCP server. Essentials starts at $20 a month; the REST API and white-label links start on Growth at $385.
Nightwatch
Nightwatch is a classic rank tracker that added AI prompt tracking, which makes it a natural choice for SEO teams that want one tool. Starter is €79 a month billed yearly for 500 keywords and 50 AI prompts on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode and AI Overviews, with an MCP server on every plan and a 14-day trial. Prices are listed in euros.
Keyword.com
Keyword.com sells AI visibility from $9.80 a month for 20 credits, and a combined Google and AI plan from $33 a month. Engines are priced per run in credits, from Copilot at a quarter credit to Claude at three. Its strength is agency reporting: live dashboards, scheduled reports, an API and an MCP server on all plans.
SE Visible
SE Visible gives 200 prompts for $99 a month ($79 billed yearly) on AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, with a 10-day trial. Classic rank tracking lives in SE Ranking, which also sells AI search tracking as an add-on from $89.
Peec AI
Peec AI runs every prompt daily with unlimited users. Starter is €85 a month for 50 prompts on three models of your choice; other models are add-ons and the API is Enterprise only. Its source analytics are among the strongest in the category.
Otterly.AI
Otterly.AI is the cheapest paid entry, at $29 a month for 15 prompts on four engines. It suits a first project; the API, MCP server and agent analytics start on the $189 Standard plan, and AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are add-ons.
ZipTie
ZipTie prices from a configurator at $0.30 per daily prompt per engine per month, with discounts as you add engines. The smallest preset is $42.75 a month for 50 daily prompts on three engines, and it covers up to seven, including Bing’s AI answers.
Semrush
Semrush’s AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 a month per domain for 25 prompts on five engines. It is the obvious option for teams that already run their keyword tracking in Semrush and want AI data next to it.
How to choose an LLM rank tracker
- Work out your monthly volume: prompts × engines × countries × runs. Then price that volume in each tool, not the entry plan.
- Decide whether you want Google in the same place. If your SEO and GEO reports go to the same people, a tracker that does both saves a reconciliation every month.
- Check the engines against your market, and whether they are included or add-ons.
- Look at the unit of analysis. A tool that only records whether you appeared cannot tell you whether you were recommended or dismissed.
For the wider market, see our comparisons of AEO tools and GEO tools . And if you want AI answers and Google positions in one project, priced per check, Mencoro starts at €15 a month .
